Moulay Idriss: this smallish village lies
beautifully situated on top of a small hill surrounded by mountains.
The mausoleum of Moulay Idriss: is the main attraction
of the village and the reason for a huge yearly pilgrimage, visitors including
the royal family. Non muslims may not enter the mausoleum but can get a nice
view from further up the hill. Can be reacherd eighter by crossing the little
medina or following the main road out of the village towardsthe top of the
hill.
Restaurants and cafes in Moulay Idriss: there are plenly
of little cafes and eateries serving brochettes and salad and other small
dishes to a small price (as always inquire about the price before ordering
to avoid uncomfortable situations and fantasy prices) along the pedestrian
road and square next to the mausoleum.
Sleeping in Moulay Idriss: It s not allowed for non muslims
to stay over night in Moulay Idriss.
